What is #Care4AllCA?

The Care4All California coalition advances urgent state policies to achieve high-quality universal, equitable, and affordable coverage for all Californians.

Care4All California is a coalition of over 70 consumer, community, labor, progressive, and health care organizations working to advance the goal of quality affordable health care for all Californians.

The Care4All California policy agenda leverages what is achievable in California without significant federal approval to make measurable progress toward universal coverage. This campaign includes many organizations that support single-payer and Medicare for All, and we see these efforts to be complementary, not competing with those goals.

We are committed to moving California’s health system towards a future that is:

Universal

Health coverage for all regardless of immigration status, age, disability, employment status, ability to pay, or other factors.

Equitable

Care is focused on value, quality, and equitable access for all patients. The core of our health system should be about improving health outcomes and reducing disparities rather than profits for the health industry.

Affordable

No Californian should be priced out of coverage. Increased financial assistance in Covered California and proper oversight over the health care industry will reduce premiums and cost-sharing, while also lowering co-pays and deductibles too.

High Quality

Our health care is deeply personal, and should be of the highest quality determined by public policy and accountability rather than the whims of private insurers.
