Today, the Senate Health Committee heard AB 209 (Pan), which as amended would require the Department of Health Care Services to monitor, evaluate and improve quality, accessibility and utilization of health and dental care provided through Medi-Cal managed care. AB 209 (Pan) passed out of Senate Health Committee with a vote of 9-0.
The big news is next Wednesday, when the Senate Health Committee will hear ABx1 1 (Speaker Perez), which as amended will implement the Medi-Cal expansion in federal health reform. Next Tuesday, the Assembly Health Committee will consider the parallel measure SB x1 1 (Hernandez/Steinberg).
More to come.
