KATRINA WALTERS-WHITE (she/her), joined Health Access in October 2024 as a Regulatory Advocate. Katrina provides regulatory and administrative advocacy, including departmental implementation of Health Access’ bills, focusing on the Office of Health Care Affordability and the Department of Managed Health Care.
Her experience in regulation began with her overseeing and regulating Adult and Senior care facilities as a Licensing Program Analyst for the Department of Social Services. Her work there fostered a strong interest for protecting the public and ensuring accountability. Katrina also worked for the California State Treasurer as a Regulatory Analyst to promote, regulate and provide tax exemptions to sustainable advanced manufacturers.
Katrina received her Bachelor of Science degree from San Francisco State University, Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Analytics (MBA) from Saint Mary’s College of California and is a candidate for her master’s in public policy (MPP). During her downtime, Katrina enjoys painting, going for bike rides, reading and spending time with her spouse, son and schnoodle.
