Los Angeles Tobacco Program Coordinator– Los Angeles, CA
The CA LGBTQ Health and Human Services Network, a program of Health Access Foundation, seeks a dedicated and energetic candidate to take a leadership role as Program Coordinator for the Los Angeles tobacco-control project, Out Against Big Tobacco, and advance LGBTQ health equity through education, outreach, and advocacy. In addition to supporting the overall health equity goals of the CA LGBTQ HHS Network. This position will specifically work on a project of the CA LGBTQ HHS Network to reduce LGBTQ tobacco related health disparities through education, outreach, media, and systems changes.
The Tobacco Program Coordinator will be a skilled coalition organizer and policy advocate. Strong communication skills, work ethic, and passion for LGBTQ health and equity is essential. Candidates must be able to work within a team, have proven leadership ability and experience handling a great deal of responsibility. Strong self-direction and the ability to take initiative are also necessary qualifications.
The position is based in Los Angeles County with a hybrid work structure. This position will include occasional travel to other parts of California, including overnight trips, and will be directly supervised by the CA LGBTQ HHS Manager of Programs with oversite from the CA LGBTQ HHS Director.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, as multiple telephone conversations and normal office equipment continue throughout the day. This is a full-time position that may require work outside of the typical 9-5 workday (i.e., weekend and evening events). Work may be completed remotely, and/or from Health Access offices.
Compensation & Benefits:
The anticipated salary range is $67,000 – $78,000. However, depending on qualifications, a successful candidate can be hired above or below this range.
