Earlier this week, the independent Legislative Analyst’s Office (LAO) released its conclusion about the huge benefits for expanding Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. (They also endorsed the state-based option for expanding Medicaid, and did more.)
But if you don’t believe the nonpartisan LAO, how about seven Republican Governors? Yesterday, the latest GOP Governor to endorse the Medicaid expansion was Florida’s Rick Scott–who was an original campaigner against “Obamacare”, using his own fortune to run ads against the plan back in 2009, well before he was Governor. Florida joins GOP Governors of Arizona, Michigan, North Dakota, New Mexico, Nevada, and Ohio in supporting the Medicaid expansion.
