This proposition removes the discriminatory vestiges of Prop 8 (2008) from the California Constitution restoring marriage equality for all, regardless of gender, race, or ethnicity.
Marriage has clear health coverage impacts, as often health insurance and benefits can only be accessed through marriage. With federal protections uncertain, California should enshrine this right into our Constitution to protect the right to same-sex marriage in and secure a future for all families.
