It’s not the Sunday funnies, but the Kaiser Family Foundation has a new cartoon video explaining the Affordable Care Act. When we present, we also breakdown the impacts in discrete groups: those who get employer-based coverage; those who get government programs like Medicare and Medicaid, and those who buy coverage directly as individuals. Once you break it down that way, it’s a lot simpler to understand. And we find that once people understand that, then other myths go by the wayside. It’s hard to imagine a “death panel” once people appreciate what the law actually does, and doesn’t do:
