Governor Jerry Brown had a long discussion with Chuck Todd on Meet the Press on Thursday, and in the extended interview online (below), the first topic was the impending vote on the health care bill. It was great to hear his critique of the American Health Care Act–pointedly not just making the fiscal argument of how it would blow the budgets of states, but the human impact on potentially 24 million people.
He goes on to talk about the benefit of immigrants to our state, and reflects on why California now has a robust economy and different politics that the nation as a whole. It’s worth a listen.
