The New York Times editorial page over the weekend had a useful run-down of the presidential candidate’s health care reform proposals.
On this blog we’ve been focused on the California debate, and we haven’t really commented on the presidential candidates’ plans so far. I’ve tried going over them, and it’s been a bit of a culture shock. California has been having this health reform conversation for a while now, and we’re down to debating the details, over the structure, benefits, cost-sharing, financing, and other specifics of a health reform proposal. It’s a little bit of whiplash to then go to the very broad brush-strokes of the plans of the presidential candidates.
But as the editorial points out, there are broad themes.
