Health hearings in the House!

The action on federal health reform is also in the U. S. House of Representatives… There’s hearings this week in key House committees.

The House Ways and Means Committee, chaired by Rep. Rangel (D-NY) (and whose next senior member is California Rep. Pete Stark, the chair of the health subcommittee), is hosting a hearing this Wednesday, April 21st, entitled, Health Reform in the 21st Century: Insurance Market Reforms.

The Witness List includes Consumers Union (a Health Access California board member) and the president of Watts Healthcare Corporation from Los Angeles:

The House Education and Labor Committee, chaired by California Rep. George Miller, is hosting a Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) subcommittee hearing on Thursday, April 23, to “examine various health care reform proposals that will guarantee quality and affordable health insurance coverage for all Americans.” It will be broadcast online at the committee

It is entitled, “Ways to Reduce the Cost of Health Insurance for Employers, Employees and their Families,” and features testimony from::
